Zahara Nakiyaga

When Zahara Nakiyaga was crowned Miss Uganda 2015, she stepped into the role with a quiet confidence and a clear sense of purpose. More than wearing a crown, she embraced the responsibility of becoming a voice for young Ugandans, using her platform to champion education, youth empowerment, and community development. She later represented Uganda at the Miss World 2015 pageant in Sanya, China, proudly carrying the country’s flag onto the global stage.

A graduate of Development Studies from Makerere University, Zahara exemplified the belief that beauty is most impactful when paired with compassion and service. Her reign was defined by authenticity, humility, and a genuine desire to inspire positive change, encouraging young people to believe in their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
