Miss Uganda 2018–2019
Quiin Abenakyo
Abenakyo's crowing became Miss Uganda's beginning of a story that forever redefined Uganda’s place on the global pageantry stage. Crowned Miss Uganda 2018, she went on to represent the nation at Miss World 2018 in Sanya, China, where she made history by finishing in the Top 5 and earning the prestigious title of Miss World Africa the highest placement ever achieved by a Ugandan at the competition.
A graduate in Business Computing and later a holder of a Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technology from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Quiin has continued to demonstrate that beauty and intellect are powerful partners. Her journey has taken her from the international pageant stage into the world of technology, leadership, and philanthropy, where she champions girls’ education, youth empowerment, and digital inclusion through the Quiin Abenakyo Foundation.
Quiin’s legacy extends far beyond the crown. She remains a symbol of excellence, resilience, and possibility proving that Miss Uganda is not simply a title, but a platform for transformative leadership. Her remarkable achievements continue to inspire a new generation of young women to dream boldly, lead with purpose, and represent Uganda with pride on the world stage.
