Oliver Nakakande

Oliver Nakakande, being crowned Miss Uganda 2019 marked the beginning of a journey defined by service, advocacy, and global representation. She went on to represent Uganda at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London, where she earned a place in the Top 40 and distinguished herself as a Top 10 finalist in the Top Model challenge, reaffirming Uganda’s growing presence on the international pageant stage.

A Business Management graduate, Oliver used her reign to champion the rights and education of the girl child, with a particular focus on reducing school dropout rates and addressing teenage pregnancy. Her passion for creating opportunities for vulnerable girls led to the establishment of the Oliver Nakakande Foundation, an initiative dedicated to keeping girls in school through education, mentorship, and menstrual health support.

Beyond the crown, Oliver has built a successful career as an international model, philanthropist, and youth advocate. Her journey reflects the essence of the Miss Uganda legacy that true beauty is expressed through compassion, leadership, and a commitment to uplifting others. She continues to inspire young women across Uganda to dream boldly, embrace their purpose, and become agents of positive change in their communities
